🆚 Ryder Cup format
Since 1979, the first two days of the Ryder Cup are split between morning and afternoon waves, with each wave playing either the foursomes or fourball format. The host captain decides on the order of play for each day.
The third day is comprised of 12 singles matches, with every player in the competition participating. Each golfer can play a maximum of five matches in the competition.
There are a total of 28 points available to be won. In the event of a tie, the previous winner will retain the Ryder Cup.
