I don't know about you, but this season has been flying by - we're already diving into our MLB MVP odds and predictions at the All-Star break.
While there are familiar faces at the top of the AL MVP odds and NL MVP odds - Aaron Judge is a -600 betting favorite in the AL, while Shohei Ohtani is the -800 betting favorite in the NL - I take a dive into who might emerge as a threat to the throne in the second half of the season.
We'll identify one player in each league who still holds a shot, using odds from our best sports betting sites.

⭐️ AL MVP best bet: Cal Raleigh (+370 at DraftKings)
Not so fast, Judge.
While the New York captain seemingly holds a stranglehold on the AL MVP odds, Raleigh is putting together the best season for a catcher ever. Yes, no other catcher has been able to do what Raleigh did in the first half of this season. Hell, he was one home run shy of tying Barry Bonds' record for most homers before the All-Star break. I still can't believe the Tigers intentionally walked him in his final at-bat to potentially make some history. But I digress.
We all know about his bat, as he leads baseball in home runs, and his batted ball profile is just a beautiful thing to behold. He's even the home run derby odds favorite tonight. However, in a close race, it'll be his defense that puts him over the top. Raleigh has led the league in putouts and games caught the last two seasons, and he's also thrown out 12 runners this year - good for fourth in baseball.
While Judge still leads MLB in OPS, average, and slugging, Raleigh's positional difficulty should only help him in the race to be the AL's best in the second half. I love the value we're getting here as part of our best MLB MVP odds and predictions at the All-Star break.

🔥 NL MVP best bet: Pete Crow-Armstrong (+700 at BetMGM)

If you're searching for someone other than the unicorn that is Shohei Ohtani, PCA is the next best bet in the NL MVP odds. The Cubs are not only in the thick of the World Series odds, but they lead the NL Central, and Crow-Armstrong is a massive reason why.
Other than accumulating a 5.4 WAR before the break, PCA is putting together a historic season of his own. He's recorded 25 bombs alongside 27 stolen bases, making him just one of three players to hit at least 23 homers and swipe 27 bags before the All-Star break. The last two players to do that were Eric Davis and Bobby Bonds - in 1973. While Ohtani does it on both sides of the ball, PCA is a dual-threat in his own way, as he can impact the game in the box and on the base paths. If Ohtani wasn't a real-life anomaly, Crow-Armstrong would be firmly in the driver's seat.
Injuries happen in baseball. And if, for some reason, Ohtani were to land on the IL, PCA would close the gap in the NL MVP odds quickly and violently. At +700 betting odds, he's worth the risk.
