Lindor is playing at an MVP level to start the season. He ranks top 10 in many major categories, including home runs and WAR, all while slashing .284/.356/.498. The shortstop has found his power stroke as of late, clubbing four home runs in his last five games.

Meanwhile, the pitcher opposing him tonight, Tony Gonsolin, has struggled on the bump. He's surrendered six long balls across his last three outings. This has seen his ERA balloon up from 2.81 to 5.23 in the last 15 innings.

The veteran has given up eight round-trippers in just 31 innings pitched this season. While that tally is far from the worst in the league, it's not ideal when opposing a lineup as power-heavy as New York's.
