The Chicago Cubs will be trying to end a three-game losing streak when they clash with the St. Louis Cardinals at 7:45 p.m. ET on Wednesday at Busch Stadium on MLB TV.

St. Louis has tallied eight runs in consecutive wins over Chicago, but the Cubs are short road betting favorites to halt their slide in Game 3 of this four-game set between division rivals. Our Cubs vs. Cardinals prediction expects the NL Central front-runners to get back in the win column.

There are multiple ways to believe in a Cubs’ bounce-back, though I prefer their moneyline odds at -145 or better. The BAT X’s model projects a fair price closer to -153, which helps explain why the market has pushed this line since it opened at -125.

When the Cubs play well, it’s typically because of their offense. They rank third in MLB with a wRC+ of 115, trailing the Los Angeles Dodgers (124) and New York Yankees (119). Only Los Angeles has scored more runs (451) than Chicago (426) this year.
