As a Boston Red Sox fan, I think it's important we continue to talk about how garbage this organization is and how it deserves to lose every game for the rest of the season. To no one's surprise, Boston is 4-8 since trading its best player for peanuts, and our Reds vs. Red Sox prediction is ready to add another tally to the L column.

Burns annihilated the Yankees in his debut, striking out seven in his first three big-league innings. He went on to get a bit roughed up after that, but the stuff is filthy. He had a very solid 11.1% swinging-strike rate, and now he gets a team that's striking out for fun recently.

The Red Sox own the third-highest strikeout rate in the majors this season, and that jumps to the second-highest over the last 30 days.

Sure, Rafael Devers did his fair share of going down on strikes with the Red Sox, but he also struck fear into the hearts of opposing pitchers. All respect to Wilyer Abreu and Carlos Narvaez - who are very good, young players - but no one on this team does that now.

Burns should be able to throw any pitch he wants, whenever he wants. He could rack up seven Ks through three for the second straight game.
