One of the several reasons why Skubal has been so successful over the last two seasons is his ability to limit damage with a low walk rate.

Following a win against the Orioles two starts ago, Skubal had 101 strikeouts to five walks in a 12-start span. Skubal, who we covered in our Twins vs. Tigers prediction, joined Clayton Kershaw as the only other pitcher in the last 125 seasons to record 100-plus strikeouts and five or fewer walks over a 12-start stretch in a single season.

This line is somewhat inflated since Skubal has nearly as many walks (six) in four June starts as he did to begin the season through 12 starts (seven).

But he should limit them against a Twins lineup that ranks in the bottom 10 of the league in walk rate (7.9%).

⚾ Best Carlos Correa prop pick: Under 0.5 hits ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: +140 via bet365 ($10 to win $14)

Correa enters this game amid an eight-game hitting streak and has three multi-hit games in his last 10. And while he has recorded at least one single in six of seven, he is just 1-for-10 with a .431 OPS in his career against Skubal.

There is a big odds difference between bet365 and DraftKings. The latter offers +125 odds to go hitless, which means bettors would profit $1.50 less ($12.50 compared to $14) on a $10 wager at DraftKings.

⚾ Best Gleyber Torres prop pick: Over 0.5 runs ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: +125 via bet365 ($10 to win $12.5)

Torres is the only Tiger with more than two career hits off of Twins righty Chris Paddack. His batting average and slugging percentage have improved every month, and Torres is 4-for-8 against Paddack in small sample size.

That has culminated in a solid .301/.391/.484 slash line in 93 at-bats in June.

This wager has great value against Paddack, who is on pace for career worsts in strikeout and walk rate and who ranks in the bottom fifth of the league in xBA.

Torres has scored at least one run in seven of the last 14 games and multiple runs five times in that span. If you read our home run predictions tonight, you'd see that we believe Torres can score the easy way if he gets on base for a certain Tigers slugger.

I am not putting off anyone backing bet365’s generous +850 odds for Torres to score at least twice. But their +125 odds on him scoring one run are more than generous compared to DraftKings’ +100 odds on the low end of the market.
