Not having Collaros under center, who's serving a one-game suspension for failing to respond to a drug test, should hurt Winnipeg's offense in its season opener. While Chris Streveler has one of the best aesthetics in football, he's more like a glorified fullback than a threat to pick apart a defense. Just ask Arizona Cardinals fans.

Even with reigning CFL Most Outstanding Player odds winner Brady Oliveira at running back, the Bombers' offense is in a tough spot. BC just held the Edmonton Elks to fewer than 250 yards and 14 points in Week 1, and now Mathie Betts, Christian Covington, and Garry Peters are set to turn the unit into one of the league's best defenses.

But the most significant reason the Lions should cover for the second straight week is Rourke and all the playmakers around him. After a bumpy return to the CFL last season, the 2022 CFL Most Outstanding Canadian looked like a future MOP during his team's season opener last week while helping BC put up 31 points.

The loss of CFL All-Star Tyrell Ford to the Elks should really hurt the Bombers' secondary, especially against the league's best wide receiver corps. Justin McInnis, Keon Hatcher, Jevon Cottoy, Stanley Berryhill III, and Ayden Eberhardt are going to be hard to stop over four quarters with Rourke returning to form.

After looking like the second coming of Russ Jackson in 2022, Rourke's cup of coffee in the NFL was forgettable, and his return to the CFL last season wasn't much better. However, it appears the Lions' trust in the former MAC star is paying off after they shipped Vernon Adams Jr. to the Calgary Stampeders in the offseason.

The Ohio alum went 27-for-36 passing with 324 yards and three touchdowns in the team's season opener, and BC looks ready to lean heavily on its fast-tempo passing attack under new head coach Buck Pierce. Rourke has gone Over 292.5 passing yards in 11 of the 19 CFL games in which he's thrown 20-plus passes, postseason included.
