Hamilton carries a four-game winning streak into BC on Sunday night, and three of those victories were one-sided affairs. Conversely, the Lions are coming off their fourth defeat in the last six games, this one a 33-27 home loss to Saskatchewan as 2.5-point favorites. In fact, BC has dropped two straight on its home turf and has prevailed just once in three tries as a chalk.

Both teams have been productive through the air this season, with BC (305.9 passing yards per game) just ahead of the Tiger-Cats (296.2). However, Hamilton has done a much better job converting those yards into points - it leads the CFL at 31.3 points per game. The Lions? They’re putting up just 23.3 points per contest, second-fewest in the league.

What’s not to like about the Tiger-Cats right now? Since kicking off the season with consecutive losses to Calgary (38-26 on the road) and Saskatchewan (28-23 at home), the ’Cats have ripped off four consecutive impressive wins.

The streak started with back-to-back blowouts of Montreal (35-17) and Toronto (51-38). Hamilton then swept Ottawa in a home-and-home series - 23-20 nail-biter home victory, followed by last week’s 30-15 laugher on the road.

The biggest reason for the Tiger-Cats’ turnaround: The defense has stiffened. Yes, the Argonauts managed to hang 38 points on Hamilton in Week 2, but otherwise the Tiger-Cats have held three opponents under 21 points during their current winning run.

True, BC’s offense has come to life the last two weeks, scoring 32 points against Edmonton and 27 against Saskatchewan. But the Lions only cashed in one of those efforts, and that was against the last-place Elks. In fact, two of BC’s three wins have come at Edmonton’s expense. Its other triumph: 21-20 at Montreal. That’s the same Montreal that Hamilton throttled by 18 points to kick off its four-game heater.

Also, take out the two games against Edmonton, and the Lions’ defense has allowed an average of 30.2 points per outing. To repeat: No team has put up more points in the CFL this season than Hamilton.

It’ll be close, but we have the Tiger-Cats eking out a 27-25 win — but to be on the safe side, take the points.

Bo Levi Mitchell Over 1.5 passing TDs ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

📊 Best odds: -130 via FanDuel ($10 pays $7.69)

No quarterback in the CFL has thrown more touchdown passes in 2025 than Hamilton’s Bo Levi Mitchell; his 12 scoring tosses are two more than BC’s Nathan Roarke, who ranks second in the category. During his team’s four-game winning streak, Mitchell has had multiple TD strikes three times.

What about the Lions’ pass defense? It’s the most stout in the league in terms of yards allowed. However, that same defense has yielded 12 passing TDs. Only Edmonton (13) has surrendered more.
