Fever vs. Storm Prediction, Odds & WNBA Best Bets Today, Aug. 3

The Indiana Fever are doing just fine on the road without Caitlin Clark, winning four straight entering today's game at Climate Pledge Arena against the Seattle Storm (3 p.m. ET, ABC).
We expect that road momentum to continue in our Fever vs. Storm prediction as Indiana ascends the WNBA championship odds. The Storm are the 2.5-point betting favorites at our best sports betting sites.

While the Storm have one of the league's best defenses and are trending toward a playoff berth, they've struggled in recent outings. Seattle lost in double overtime to the lowly Los Angeles Sparks on Friday, and are 7-7 since the Fever beat them 94-86 on June 24. Although Clark suited up for that victory over Seattle, she managed just six points on 3-for-13 shooting, so Indiana should be capable of winning again without her. In that matchup, the Storm couldn't stop Aliyah Boston.
I think it could be a repeat performance from Boston and Co. on the road against Seattle, with my Fever vs. Storm prediction projecting an 86-84 win for Indiana.

It hasn't seemed to matter that Clark has been absent for most of the season, and the Fever have really shown why over the last week. Indiana has won four straight games, including knocking off the Phoenix Mercury 107-101, and they've lost just two games since July 11 (both to the New York Liberty).
Steph White has helped transform this team, with it sitting No. 4 in offensive rating (108) and No. 3 in pace (79) despite being down an MVP-caliber player. The combo of Boston and Kelsey Mitchell has come alive as of late, and should push the Storm's top-notch defense. Seattle has had some trouble inside the arc, ranking in the back half of the league in 2-pointers allowed per game (21.6), which could allow Boston and Natasha Howard to thrive.
Defensively, the Fever have been much improved this season, allowing the sixth-fewest points per game (81.0). They should be able to slow the Storm enough to keep this game close, or even win outright - Seattle is just No. 9 in offensive rating. The Fever have covered the spread in four straight games and have the third-best ATS record in the league (15-13).

Boston has been on a rebounding tear lately. While she's just sixth in the league in rebounds per game (8.2), the former No. 1 pick has pulled down double-digit boards in five straight games while averaging 11.2 per game during that stretch.
The Storm also happen to be one of the worst rebounding teams in the W, which is why I'd still play the Over on Boston's rebounds if this line jumps to 9.5 at our best sports betting sites by the time this game tips. Seattle is second-last in the W in rebounds per game (31.9) and allows the third-most to opponents (36.1).
