The Dallas Wings (8-20) have been playing better of late, and they'll look to score an upset win at home on Friday (7:30 p.m. ET, ION) against the Indiana Fever (16-12) from American Airlines Center in Dallas.

The Wings won’t contend in the WNBA championship odds soon, but they are gaining momentum as a team to be in the playoff hunt following a win over the New York Liberty and a narrow loss to the Atlanta Dream.

Had it not been for a late 3-pointer from Atlanta’s Naz Hillmon, the Wings might have earned back-to-back wins over the contenders. That helps illustrate how much better they are playing off late, as players are figuring out their roles around Bueckers.

Taking Dallas’ spread is a no-brainer to me since I think this team could win outright on Friday. The Wings were 4-point home underdogs against the Dream on Wednesday, so I’ll take the bigger spread against a worse team.

Dallas has covered the spread in four of its past six outings, highlighting that the market hasn’t caught on yet.

The Wings have a -1.8 net rating over that span, which might not sound great until I tell you that the Fever have a -1.4 net rating during the same stretch - which coincides with Clark being out from her most recent injury.

Over the past two weeks, the Wings have been slightly better on defense, and the Fever have been marginally better on offense. Simply put, these two teams are playing more even than it might appear.

I’ll take the points at +4 or better with Dallas.
