With the Phoenix Suns missing the NBA playoffs and firing head coach Mike Budenholzer, Kevin Durant is a hot topic heading into the offseason with just one more year left on his contract.

There's plenty of reason to think the 15-time All-Star will be playing somewhere else next season, though the Suns do lead the Kevin Durant next team odds at our best sports betting sites. Obviously the Suns would need to trade Durant if he were to play for a different franchise next season, but what is the point in Phoenix keeping him if this team only managed to go 36-46 last season with him, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal? The Suns ownership is arguably the worst in the NBA, and this team desperately needs to try and revamp its roster around Booker.

Durant likely wants to play for a team that can at least earn a spot in the playoffs, and the Houston Rockets make a ton of sense for both him and the franchise, which is why they have the second-shortest odds at our best NBA betting sites. In just his second season at the helm, Ime Udoka led the team to the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference, but it was clear immediately in the playoffs that they were missing something.
