South Carolina inched ahead of UConn by the women's March Madness odds after the bracket was revealed on Selection Sunday, and it has held that position as the first round of the tournament begins today. Our free printable women's March Madness bracket can help you follow along throughout the tournament.

The Huskies just took home the Big East Tournament crown with a decisive win over Creighton, but the Gamecocks overtook them as favorites at our March Madness betting sites after blowing out No. 1 Texas to win the SEC Tournament and earning a No. 1 seed in the tournament.

UCLA, USC, and Texas hold the other No. 1 seeds, while UConn settled for a second seed.

πŸ† Live Women's March Madness odds 2025

Our live Women's March Madness odds are from out best sports betting sites and update in real time.

  • South Carolina: After winning last year's title, South Carolina opened as the clear favorite to repeat with the bulk of its championship-winning team returning, and the Gamecocks rebounded from their loss to the Huskies by blowing out Oklahoma and Texas to win the SEC Tournament
  • UConn: Geno Auriemma and Paige Bueckers have the Huskies looking like a threat once again while closing out the regular season and Big East Tournament with 10 straight wins, including upsetting South Carolina and beating Creighton twice, but UConn failed to secure a No. 1 seed
  • USC: Despite beating UCLA twice in the regular season thanks to women's Wooden Award odds favorite JuJu Watkins, the Trojans fell to the Bruins in the Big Ten Tournament title game
  • UCLA: The Bruins' early win over South Carolina was proof that Cori Close's team is for real, and it bounced back from two losses to USC down the stretch to win the Big Ten Tournament
  • Texas: After sitting atop the AP Top 25 Poll heading into the SEC Tournament, the Longhorns lost by 19 to South Carolina in the conference championship game

Here are the favorites for the women's March Madness tournament following Selection Sunday:

πŸ” South Carolina March Madness odds (+240)

Women

South Carolina has won two of the last three NCAA Tournaments and has reached the Final Four in four straight seasons. It doesn't look like much will change this year with so many of last season's key players back in the fold, even with how poorly this team played against the Huskies.

The Gamecocks are still one of the most well-rounded teams in the country, and proved it against Texas. Their nine-deep rotation is led by star guards Te-Hina Paopao, Raven Johnson, and MiLaysia Fulwiley. If Staley can lead South Carolina to back-to-back titles, a $10 bet at BetRivers pays a $27.50 profit. It helps Gamecock backers that their losses to UCLA, Texas, and UConn have lengthened these odds slightly.

🐺 UConn March Madness odds (+250)

Women

As Auriemma tries to end his dry spell at UConn - the Huskies haven't won an NCAA Tournament since 2015-16 - Bueckers is again living up to her billing as one of the most talented players to ever play in Storrs.

With the star point guard leading the way, UConn has one of the best defenses in the country and should earn a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. However, the Huskies have lost to Notre Dame, USC, and Tennessee, which is why their odds were as long as +600 not too long ago.

They looked like a rejuvenated team in their dominant win over South Carolina, and with the way Azzi Fudd and Sarah Strong are playing as of late, they could take home the title and turn a $10 bet into a $25 profit at DraftKings.

Best odds: +250 via DraftKings | Implied Probability: 28.57%

🐻 UCLA March Madness odds (+600)

Women

Only three teams have handed the defending champs a loss this season, and one of them was UCLA when the Bruins blew the Gamecocks out by 15 on Nov. 24. A lot has changed since then, but UCLA could earn the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament thanks to the way it bounce back from its two losses to USC to defeat the Trojans for the Big Ten Tournament title.

Center Lauren Betts gives the Bruins a dominant force inside at both ends of the court who's capable of taking over games. She's a complete game changer the way Kamilla Cardoso was for South Carolina last year ... which is why UCLA could be a difficult out for both the Gamecocks and Huskies in March.

Best odds: +600 via DraftKings | Implied Probability: 14.29%

βš”οΈ USC March Madness odds (+800)

Women
Pictured: USC guard JuJu Watkins dribbles the ball down the court past Penn State forward Tamera Johnson. Photo by Robert Hanashiro via Imagn Images.

Watkins has taken the torch from Caitlin Clark as the most prolific scorer in women's college basketball, and in a few years, she might even break a few of the former Iowa star's records. Nobody is going to want to see the Trojans in March with Watkins running the show for Lindsay Gottlieb.

Her ability to take over games is terrifying and wins over UConn, Ohio State, and UCLA showed why. And the Trojans aren't a one-star team either. Kiki Iriafen is the perfect front-court complement to Watkins and those two could give any team a run for their money.

Best odds: +800 via DraftKings | Implied Probability: 11.11%
