🎯 Score prediction: Eagles 31, Cowboys 20

Welcome to the NFL, Brian Schottenheimer. The new face of "America's Team" is being thrown into the deep end in Week 1, as Dallas hits the road to face the reigning Super Bowl champions under the lights of prime time.

We undoubtedly expect the crowd at Lincoln Financial Field to play a part in leading the Eagles to victory as they celebrate their second Super Bowl of the last decade. The Cowboys are searching for their first victory in Philadelphia since 2022, and their first win overall against the Birds since December 2023.

Schottenheimer's offense was outscored 75-13 in two games against the Eagles last season. They'll likely fare better this time around with Dak Prescott under center. The Mississippi State product boasts a 9-4 record with 24 touchdowns and eight interceptions against Philadelphia in his career.

Ultimately, though, there are too many holes on Dallas' depth chart to back the Cowboys significantly in this spot. There's no doubt they'll improve upon a dismal display from last season as they return to health, but the Eagles have the most complete roster in the NFL, full stop.

We're comfortable backing the hosts in this spot with Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, and the rest of Philadelphia's offense ready to light up scoreboards once again. FanDuel offers a slightly smaller spread than other best sports betting apps, with the Eagles trading as 6.5-point favorites at -115 odds.

✅ Best bet: Eagles -6.5 (-115 via FanDuel)
