The Edmonton Oilers are favored to secure their seventh straight victory of the postseason when they host the Vegas Golden Knights in Saturday’s Game 3 (9 p.m. ET, TNT, truTV, Sportsnet, and CBC).

Edmonton took a 2-0 series lead on Thursday, and oddsmakers are projecting another high-scoring affair while setting the Game 3 total at 6.5. We backed McDavid to score in Game 2 at +160 odds, noting how his two goals this postseason don’t reflect the number of chances he’s getting. Even though McDavid failed to find the net on Thursday (he came close in overtime), he had seven shot attempts, six of which came from high or medium danger areas.

The Oilers' superstar continues to average nearly seven shot attempts per game in the playoffs and has hit the net at least three times in five of his last six games. With Edmonton enjoying last change for Games 3 and 4, he might also be able to get away from the tight checking of Jack Eichel a bit more.

To say Barbashev was rejuvenated by a return to Vegas’ top line would be an understatement. After being reunited with Mark Stone and Jack Eichel for Game 2, Barbashev responded with a whopping 11 attempts - more than he’d attempted in his previous five games combined.

With Eichel and Stone both riding five-game point streaks, Barbashev should be in line for some more quality opportunities tonight. I opted for Over 0.5 points (+145) because Barbashev shot props weren’t widely available, but Over 1.5 shots at plus money is another solid option if you can find it.

🚨 Zach Hyman Over 2.5 shots ⭐⭐⭐

Hyman has recorded two goals and two assists during a three-game point streak, and he’s fifth on the Oilers in expected goals in this postseason. He’s also shooting the puck every chance he gets, recording eight attempts in Game 2 and 28 over his past four games.

With the next two games at Rogers Place, Hyman should be even more dangerous. The veteran forward scored 19 of his 27 goals at home during the regular season.
