Svechnikov hit the Over for the third straight game in the opener, firing three shots on Logan Thompson. While that's all the 25-year-old required to eclipse the 2.5-shot threshold, he amassed an astonishing 12-shot attempts. That quantity-over-quality strategy is a Hurricanes hallmark.

🚨 Aliaksei Protas Over 0.5 points ⭐⭐⭐

Protas played his second game of the playoffs against the Canes in the opener, and he notched a point and was one of the best Capitals. He said he's playing at about 90% of his capacity, and I expect him to improve as he gets his game legs back. This pick is slightly ambitious given he's just returned from a lengthy injury hiatus.

However, Thursday's contest will mark his third game back. And based on how he played in Game 1, I'm confident he can make a tangible difference. Despite missing the last eight games, Protas tied for the third-most points in the regular season with Pierre-Luc Dubois. He scored at a 0.87 points-per-game clip before suffering his late-season injury.
