Another feather in the cap for one of our best sports betting sites, or perhaps, rather, a fascinator.

FanDuel TV has secured the rights to cover all prep races on the road to the 151st Kentucky Derby, providing comprehensive coverage for horse racing fans.

FanDuel TV's "Road to the Kentucky Derby" broadcasts will provide expanded and live coverage of official points races to determine which horses will compete in the top-level competition at Churchill Downs on Saturday, May 3.

The coverage begins on March 1 and runs through April 12, encompassing a string of qualifying races significant to the Kentucky Derby entry system. FanDuel Racing is offering a $20 Money Back Special for bettors whose selected horse finishes second or third in each Derby prep race as part of its promotional effort. That helps make it one of our best horse racing betting sites, and it's another special for bettors at a site where you can take advantage of excellent deals without needing a FanDuel promo code.

FanDuel TV's broadcast will go beyond racing coverage with analysis, interviews, and feature profiles of Derby horses and their owners, trainers, and jockeys. The network has hired a roster of experienced racing handicappers and analysts to support that initiative, including Todd Schrupp, Christina Blacker, Simon Bray, Joaquin Jaime, Gabby Gaudet, Matt Bernier, Kurt Hoover, and others. They will provide live commentary, predictions, and analysis of probable Derby starters' performances. The Kentucky Derby is a significant boon to the Kentucky sports betting market each year.

“The Kentucky Derby is one of the most anticipated races on the horse racing calendar for our fans and we are excited to highlight all the prep races with more wall-to-wall coverage than any other network," said Senior Vice President and Executive Producer for FanDuel TV Michael Shiffman. "We have a deep commitment to covering horse racing and value the ongoing relationship we have fostered with Churchill Downs.”

Kentucky Derby Prep Season Important to Race Fans and Bettors

The coverage will also include regular updates on the Kentucky Derby points standings, allowing fans and bettors to track which horses are getting into the starting gate. The network will also include a listing of "Top Contenders," a feature where network analysts discuss and dissect the top contenders for the Derby based on their showings in the prep races. This will let viewers know who to target at their favorite Kentucky Derby betting sites and the top Kentucky sportsbook apps.

Kentucky Derby prep season is also a determination time for horse racing enthusiasts and bettors, in that it settles the Run for the Roses field. The prep races are designed to award points on finish positions, and the best horses earn bids into the ultimate Derby field. The races run throughout the country at historic racetracks, matching up budding three-year-old thoroughbreds attempting to prove themselves along the way to Churchill Downs.

While horse racing has traditionally been divided into many platforms, the all-access format on FanDuel TV allows supporters to view all the feature races from a single location. This is beneficial for the supporters and the horse racing sport in general, as it increases activity and betting ahead of the Derby.
