Heisman Trophy Odds & Favorites 2025: Manning, Nussmeier, Klubnik Favorites

The hype has already begun in Austin with Arch Manning set to take over as starting QB for Texas this upcoming season, and he's now the Heisman Trophy odds favorite.
LSU's Garrett Nussmeier opened as the favorite with the Tigers bringing in talent to make a push to climb the college football championship odds, but the Manning buzz has been deafening.
While those two lead the way, Clemson's Cade Klubnik and Ohio State's Jeremiah Smith are the other two contenders with Heisman Trophy odds shorter than 16/1.
📊 Heisman Trophy odds 2025
- Arch Manning: While Manning has just two starts under his belt, he was the No. 1 recruit in the country a few years ago on top of having a famous last name and leading a Longhorns program that's made two straight College Football Playoff appearances
- Garrett Nussmeier: There was buzz midway through last season that Nussmeier could compete to be a top QB by the NFL draft odds, and the Tigers reloaded with pass catchers to help his Heisman case
- Cade Klubnik: It was a breakout season for Klubnik, a former blue-chip recruit, last season and the Tigers are the ACC Championship odds favorites heading into this season
- Jeremiah Smith: The freshman phenom helped the Buckeyes win a title in his first season on campus, but a QB change could hurt his shot at the Heisman
- DJ Lagway: While Florida is an SEC Championship odds long shot, few QBs have as much talent as Lagway

🤘 Arch Manning Heisman Trophy odds (+800)
The expectations for Manning are sky-high in Austin, with Texas listed as one of the early championship favorites. The highly-touted star got his feet wet last season and looked the part. The redshirt freshman led the Longhorns to 86 points in his two starts (vs. Louisiana-Monroe, at Mississippi State).
Manning inherits all the necessary tools to succeed in 2025 as Texas looks to return to the College Football Playoff. As such, oddsmakers are mitigating their risk early by making him a true contender from the jump.

🐯 Garrett Nussmeier Heisman Trophy odds (+1000)

Two LSU quarterbacks have won the Heisman Trophy in the last six years, and both did it during their second full season as starters. Thus, history suggests Nussmeier's place as the early betting favorite at our best college football betting sites is justified.
The Lake Charles, La., native is a textbook gunslinger. He threw for over 4,000 yards and 29 touchdowns during his junior season, but the downside was his 12 interceptions. If Nussmeier can limit the turnovers and lead the Tigers to the College Football Playoff - both easier said than done - he could find himself in New York for the 2025 Heisman Trophy Ceremony.

🐾 Cade Klubnik Heisman Trophy odds (+1200)
Klubnik turned a corner last season. His passing touchdowns (36) nearly doubled from the previous year (19), and he threw three fewer interceptions. The Clemson starter's 6:1 touchdown-to-interception ratio was among the best in the nation as he led the Tigers to an ACC title and subsequent College Football Playoff appearance.
Dabo Swinney's squad is expected to be in the mix for another national title in 2025, and our best sports betting sites believe Klubnik can make a real splash as one of the most experienced quarterbacks in the country.
Best odds: +1200 via bet365 | Implied probability: 7.69%
🌰 Jeremiah Smith Heisman Trophy odds (+1400)
We can confidently claim that Smith had the best freshman season from a wide receiver since Michael Crabtree in 2007. While the Ohio State wideout (76 receptions, 1,315 yards, and 15 touchdowns) didn't quite match the latter's statistics (134 receptions, 1,962 yards, and 22 touchdowns), he quickly became the go-to target in a talent-rich offense as a true freshman (Crabtree was a redshirt).
Only two receivers have won the Heisman Trophy since the turn of the century (DeVonta Smith and Travis Hunter), but the good news for Smith is they've both come in the last five seasons. If there's a pass catcher who can win this award, it's the Buckeyes' budding superstar

🐶 Gunner Stockton Heisman Trophy odds (+3500)

Stockton got thrown to the wolves during his first appearances in relief of Carson Beck. The Georgia quarterback faced two of the nation's top-10 total defenses in Texas and Notre Dame. While he wasn't able to overcome the latter in the playoff, he beat the former behind some impressive plays in the SEC Championship Game.
There are a lot of unknowns about Stockton, given we haven't seen much of him. He's one to watch in this market, considering a $10 winning wager at our best sportsbooks would return $350 in profits.

💡How to bet on the Heisman Trophy
Betting on Heisman Trophy odds is pretty straightforward. Start by choosing a reputable sportsbook that offers Heisman futures.
Look at the odds for different players; for example, if Arch Manning is at +400 and Nico Iamaleava is at +800, Manning is more favored to win. Decide how much you want to wager and place your bet. If you put $100 on Manning at +400 and he wins, you’ll get $500 back ($400 profit + $100 stake).
Follow player performances throughout the season to track how your bet is doing.
But why do odds change in future markets? It’s all about performance and perception. If a player excels or underperforms, their odds will adjust. Injuries to the player or competitors can significantly impact their Heisman chances.
The success of the player’s team can also influence their odds. Public betting trends are important too; if many people are betting on a particular player, sportsbooks might change the odds to manage their risk.
Expert analysis and predictions can also sway betting patterns and odds. Understanding these factors can help you make more informed bets and possibly catch some favorable odds shifts.
📖 How to read Heisman Trophy odds
When reading Heisman Trophy odds, the odds are typically displayed in formats like +300 or -150.
Positive odds (e.g., +300) indicate how much profit you’d make on a $100 bet. For instance, a $100 bet at +300 odds would win you $300, plus your original $100 stake, totaling $400. Negative odds (e.g., -150) show how much you need to bet to win $100. So, a $150 bet at -150 odds would win you $100, plus your $150 stake, totaling $250.
These odds also reflect the implied probability of a player winning the Heisman Trophy. Lower odds (e.g., +200) suggest a higher chance of winning, while higher odds (e.g., +1000) indicate a lower chance. Sportsbooks adjust these odds based on various factors, including player performance, injuries, team success, and betting patterns.
For example, if Garrett Nussmeier has +300 odds and Carson Beck has +800 odds, Nussmeier is considered more likely to win. If you bet $100 on Nussmeier and he wins, you’d get $400 back ($300 profit + $100 stake).
