There's already a major shakeup in the MLB Rookie of the Year odds only one week into the regular season, as the early favorites have tumbled down the oddsboard, making way for new front-runners.

In the AL, it's Kristian Campbell who has leapfrogged Jasson Dominguez fresh off his eight-year, $60-million deal with the Red Sox. Campbell has been one of Boston's best hitters early in the campaign, and he's a significant favorite as a result.

Meanwhile, the NL race is more tightly priced, but the headline is that Roki Sasaki is no longer the favorite. Could the World Series odds-favorite Dodgers be regretting their investment in him, or will the right-hander quickly move past his freshman struggles.

April 3, 2025: The AL East is well-represented atop the Rookie of the Year oddsboard, as Campbell and Dominguez serve as No. 1 and 2, respectively, while Roman Anthony (Red Sox) is also in the top 10 despite not even being in the majors.

It appeared Dominguez would separate himself from the pack considering two of his biggest competitors (Campbell and Anthony) were set to begin the season in the minors. However, the Red Sox welcomed Campbell to the majors to open the year, and they've already rewarded him for his strong play with a new contract.

Campbell is here to stay, so Dominguez will have to step up his game if he wants to compete.

April 3, 2025: Sasaki's status as the preseason favorite was never in question, but he's already lost the top spot after only two starts.

It's not as though Dylan Crews has been especially good - in fact, he's been downright awful - but it's more about the fact that Sasaki has also been terrible, and he'll have fewer chances to shine as a pitcher.

Joining Crews and Sasaki is Matt Shaw, who also hasn't been very good. Basically, this market has been a bit of a disaster thus far.
