The Los Angeles Dodgers couldn't be off to a better start as World Series odds favorites. After taking both games against the Chicago Cubs in the Tokyo Series, the Dodgers beat the Detroit Tigers on Opening Day to move to 3-0 for the season.

The two teams will square off again tonight at 10:10 p.m. ET (Spectrum SportsNet LA) at Dodger Stadium, one night after Shohei Ohtani did Shohei Ohtani things and provided the game-winning home run.

The Dodgers took Game 1 of this series to move to 3-0 on the young campaign. Ohtani drilled his second homer of the season, and Mookie Betts looked good in his return from a brutal illness that reportedly caused him to lose roughly 25 pounds.

Jack Flaherty (2024 stats): 13-7, 3.17 ERA, 1.07 WHIP

As previously mentioned, Flaherty is a quality pitcher. However, there are very few teams that can match their No. 2 with the Dodgers' No. 2, and the Tigers aren't one of them. If Flaherty was still in this L.A. rotation - as he was after the trade deadline last year - he'd likely be fifth in line behind Yamamoto, Blake Snell, Roki Sasaki, and Tyler Glasnow.

Therefore, the Dodgers do have the pitching advantage, but I think Flaherty is solid enough to stop Los Angeles from exploding offensively. If he does that, Detroit will have a chance to stay in this game late and get after the bullpen.
