We are nearly at the peak of the horse racing calendar, and Belmont Stakes odds will soon be made available. This year's Belmont Stakes will be held on Saturday, June 7, at Saratoga Race Course.
This will be the second straight year that the Belmont will be held in Saratoga Springs, N.Y, with the iconic Belmont Park currently being renovated.
The move to Saratoga Race Course has shortened the race distance to 1 1/4 miles, aligning it with the length of the Kentucky Derby instead of the traditional 1 1/2-mile distance. Belmont Stakes should return to its traditional home next year.
Expect horses like Journalism and Citizen Bull to be among the betting favorites this year.

Belmont Stakes favorites
While we're still waiting to learn the favorites to win this race in 2025, Sierra Leone and Mindframe entered last year's Belmont Stakes among the favorites, with neither having odds longer than +350.
Sieze the Grey, who won the Preakness Stakes, took an early lead which he held through the first three-quarters of a mile. Outright favorite Sierra Leone made a strong push, but it was Darnoch at 15-1 that came out on top after finding a seam and bursting to the front of the pack.
