Max Verstappen continues to own the Great White North. The four-time defending F1 champion won nine races in 2024, including taking the Canadian Grand Prix for a third straight season. It was also the fifth win for Red Bull at the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve over the last 10 events.

Verstappen is set to likely face much stiffer competition in 2025, both overall and in the Canadian Grand Prix odds. That's reflected in the F1 championship odds, though he'll likely still be among the favorites at the 4.36-km circuit in Montreal once odds are released for the 2025 race at our best F1 betting sites.

Canadian Grand Prix odds 2025

We expect the 2025 Canadian Grand Prix odds to be released through our best sports betting sites a couple of weeks ahead of the event.

Verstappen closed as the -140 favorite prior to the 2024 race through DraftKings, far ahead of the +450 given to Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc

How to bet on the Canadian Grand Prix

Betting on the Canadian Grand Prix odds is pretty simple. First, pick a reputable sportsbook that offers the market.

Check out the odds for each driver. For example, if the Verstappen is +175 to win, a $100 bet on him would win you $175 if he takes the race. Place your bet by deciding how much you want to wager. If you bet $100 on Verstappen at +175 and he wins, you’ll get $275 back ($175 profit + $100 stake).

Keep an eye on the drivers' performances throughout the season to see how your bet is doing.

It's important to remember that odds move in futures markets. It’s all about performance and perception. If a driver starts doing better or worse than expected, their odds will change.

Public betting trends play a role too. If a lot of people are betting on one team, sportsbooks might adjust the odds to balance their risk.

Expert analysis and predictions can influence how people bet, which in turn affects the odds.

How to read Canadian Grand Prix odds

Reading Canadian Grand Prix odds is straightforward. Odds are usually presented in a format like +500 or -200. Positive odds (e.g., +500) show how much profit you’d make on a $100 bet.

For example, a $100 bet at +500 odds would win you $500, plus your original $100 stake, totaling $600. Negative odds (e.g., -200) indicate how much you need to bet to win $100. So, a $200 bet at -200 odds would win you $100, plus your $200 stake, totaling $300.

These odds also reflect the probability of a driver winning the race. Lower odds (e.g., +300) suggest a higher likelihood, while higher odds (e.g., +2000) indicate a lower probability.

Sportsbooks adjust these odds based on factors like driver performance and betting patterns.

If the Verstappen is getting +125 odds and Lando Norris is at +200, Verstappen is considered more likely to win. If you bet $100 on Verstappen and he wins, you’d get $225 back ($125 profit + $100 stake).
