Bueckers now takes on a lead guard role, with an elite scorer in Ogunbowale flanking her alongside a top-notch defender in Carrington, and a physical front-court presence in Smith. With her high IQ and passing instincts, the rookie should quickly acclimate to the speed and size of the WNBA.

If you were to build a point guard in a lab, you'd end up with Bueckers.

She's as smart as any player on the court, with the vision to make jaw-dropping passes and the understanding of how to control a game and run an offense. Though she averaged just 4.6 assists per game at UConn, I expect her to be one of the leaders in that category in the WNBA with less need for her to carry the offense.

That's especially true with her playing next to Ogunbowale, who scored 22.2 points per game last season. Even with the Lynx's ferocious defensive play, Bueckers should be capable of reaching at least five apples in her WNBA debut after putting up six across just 23 minutes during her final preseason game.
