Power Slap Odds: Betting Lines & Favorites for Power Slap 12

Friday marks the biggest night in the history of Power Slap β and not just because of the quality of the card.
The brainchild of UFC president Dana White hits the big time Friday night, with Power Slap 12 streaming live on YouTube for the first time ever. The eight-fight card is highlighted by a hotly anticipated rematch between middleweight title-holder Isaih Quinones and Branden "The Butcher" Bordeaux β and the latest Power Slap 12 odds have the champ as a hefty favorite.
Here are the latest odds, courtesy DraftKings and last updated March 7 at 10 am ET (favorites in bold):

π° Power Slap 12 favorites
Paige VanZant (-310)
The lone women's bout on a loaded Power Slap 12 card is also the most lopsided matchup from an odds perspective.
VanZant β a global superstar who has competed in MMA, bare knuckle boxing and professional wrestling in addition to slap fighting β is a massive favorite over Mikael Michelle Brown. VanZant has a win and a draw in her two career slap fights, though she hasn't competed since Slap Fight 9 in October.
VanZant's career fighting record won't blow you away, but she's the most decorated pugilist on Friday's card, and has shown impressive proficiency in her limited slap fighting tenure. That said, Brown (1-0) is a 5-foot-5 dynamo with incredible power in her slaps β and represents VanZant's toughest test to date. At +230, she's worth a long look if you're craving an upset pick.
Isaih Quinones (-185)
"The Puerto Rican Pretty Boy" (4-2, 4 KOs) has overcome an ugly start to his Slap Fight career and carries a four-knockout streak into the redux with Bordeaux.
The two middleweights put on a fight for the ages at Slap Fight 10, with Quinones barely retaining his title in a match in which both fighters sent their opponent to the floor. Bordeaux (3-0-1) still hasn't lost β the fight was considered a draw β and given how close he was to claiming the bout last time out, +140 seems like a massive odds underestimation.
Expect this fight to be similarly competitive to their first encounter β and consider Bordeaux at much friendlier odds.
Robert Trujillo (-165)
Not every fight on the Power Lap 12 card is ripe for an upset. And if you're looking for a favorite to really lean into Friday night, Trujillo's your guy.
That's not a knock against his opponent, as McGregor enters this one with a 2-0 mark and has looked great in limited Power Slap action. But Trujillo might be the most complete fighter in the promotion, with incredible force behind his strikes and one of the toughest jaws of any fighter in any weight class.
McGregor, a carpenter from Prince Edward Island, is no stranger to the fight game and certainly has a shot at securing the lightweight championship Friday. But I haven't seen anything in Trujillo's performances to suggest that he'll come out of this one with his first L. Go with the favorite here.

π΅ How to bet on Power Slap
With Power Slap still in its infancy β and state legislators and our best sports betting sites largely apprehensive about the sport as a whole β betting options are limited.
DraftKings only offers moneyline bets, in which players wager on who they believe will win the bout. At present, bettors cannot make prop bet wagers.
Even though you don't have many markets to choose from, you can still be successful by following a few simple tips:
- Study the fighters. As with any new hobby pastime, becoming a superior Power Slap bettor means doing your homework. Get to know the fighters on a specific card. What is their fighting style? Are they more about timing/speed or raw power? How does that fighting style mesh/clash with his or her opponent? Knowledge is power here.
- Experience matters. Power Slap isn't the only slap fighting game in town β and the majority of competitors participating at Power Slap 12 or on future cards took part in the sport before this promotion was born. Look at how many fights a Power Slap competitor has on his or her resume, and weigh that experience into your betting decisions.
- Embrace the underdog(s). New sports are the most difficult for sportsbooks to price. There's precious little data to mine, which means that the betting lines are often much softer than with more established sports. And that puts significant value on the underdogs, many of whom likely have better implied chances of victory than the betting odds suggest.
