2025 UFL Championship Odds & Week 2 Predictions: Stallions Favorite Despite Loss

The Birmingham Stallions' attempt to win their second straight UFL championship, and fourth straight title overall, took a hit in Week 1 as the team fell to the DC Defenders as a heavy favorite.
Despite the loss, the Stallions remain the favorites by the 2025 UFL championship odds at our best sports betting sites, with Skip Holtz's team holding a slight lead on the board over the St. Louis Battlehawks.
The Defenders weren't the only underdog to be catapulted up the board as the Arlington Renegades cut their odds from +1000 after upsetting the San Antonio Brahmas.
📊 UFL championship odds 2025
Here are the live 2025 UFL championship odds via our best sports betting apps. Odds update in real time.
- Stallions: Alex McGough's return to Birmingham didn't go as planned with the Stallions scoring just 11 points in a seven-point loss to the Defenders, moving Holtz's teams odds from +185 to +300
- Battlehawks: It's safe to say the Battlehawks aren't worried about their new starting QB after Manny Wilkins helped the team beat the Houston Roughnecks 31-6 in Week 1
- Defenders: With head coach Reggie Barlow abruptly leaving for the Tennessee State job before the season, interim Shannon Harris managed to open the season with an upset win over the Stallions, thanks to QB Jordan Ta'amu
- Renegades: Arlington's +1000 odds were always too long after following up an XFL championship with a disappointing first season in the UFL, but Bob Stoops and Luis Perez seem to have the Renegades headed in the right direction in year two
- Panthers: Led by a suffocating defense and the efficient play of Bryce Perkins, Michigan hammered the Memphis Showboats 26-12 and cut its odds from +650 to +470
💰 2025 UFL betting favorites
🐎 Stallions (+300)

It was somewhat of a head-scratcher when Louisiana Tech fired Holtz after he racked up a 64-50 record in Ruston - Sonny Cumbie is 11-26 as his replacement - but the Stallions couldn't be happier about it. Birmingham has won three straight championships with Lou Holtz's son in charge, riding the momentum of two USFL titles to a UFL crown in the league's first season.
The big question is how the Stallions will look with UFL MVP Adrian Martinez now on the New York Jets roster. Well, Holtz has turned to a familiar face in Alex McGough to be his QB1 - McGough was USFL MVP in 2023 for the Stallions before spending parts of the last season with the Green Bay Packers.
There's no reason to doubt McGough under center for Birmingham, even if he looked rusty in the Week 1 loss. This team has too much talent not to bounce back with All-UFL players in tight end Jace Sternberger and defensive lineman Carlos Davis. The loss made these odds far easier to stomach, too, with a $10 winning bet on the Stallions now paying a $30 profit.

🪽 Battlehawks (+320)

Another team with a new starting QB after the Battlehawks opted to release A.J. McCarron - whose wife has since hinted that he's likely retiring and signing a podcast deal - head coach Anthony Becht had a pair of options to be his QB1, and his choice in Week 1 paid off
It had been an open competition this offseason between Wilkins, Max Duggan, and Chevan Cordeiro, with Wilkins earning the nod in Week 1. The Arizona State product paid back his head coach by turning in an efficient outing that included rushing for two TDs while St. Louis piled up over 270 yards on the ground against Houston.
St. Louis has the league's most explosive running back in Jacob Saylors, best receiver in Hakeem Butler (last year's UFL Offensive Player of the Year), and the UFL's leading tackler in Willie Harvey. Now that we've seen the Battlehawks' new QB in action, this is the team I'd be backing early with a $10 winning bet paying a $32 profit.

🔷 Renegades (+450)
It was a bumpy transition for the Arlington Renegades from the XFL to the UFL. Prior to the merger, Stoops had Arlington looking like it might be set to become the XFL's team to beat after winning the title in 2023, but then the team stumbled to a 3-7 UFL debut.
Still, Stoops is one of the most well-respected coaches in football, and he still has a star at QB in Perez, who's something of a legend in non-NFL pro football. He led the league in QB rating (99.4), passing TDs (18), and passing yards (2,310) last season and is clearly the best passer in the UFL, especially with Martinez gone.
He's not alone either, with an offense that finished second in the league in yards and also returns star pass catchers Tyler Vaughns and Sal Canella. That's why Arlington was my team to watch last week when it had +1000 odds, and thanks to a huge game from Kalen Ballage, the Renegades stomped the Brahmas 33-9.

👀 My UFL contender to watch
🐆 Panthers (+470)
Coming into the season, the Panthers looked like they might have the best defense in the UFL on paper. But concerns around their offense is why their odds were just +650 before they quieted the Showboats with a 26-12 win behind a strong outing from former Perkins.
The former Los Angeles Rams QB looked good in his first UFL start, going 16-for-19 with a score. If he can keep playing clean like that, Michigan could be scary with an offense that includes Marcus Simms, Matthew Colburn II, and Siaosi Mariner.
But the defense is the reason this team could bring home the title. It's littered with All-UFL caliber players like Breeland Speaks, Kai Nacua, and Frank Ginda. If Perkins can keep up his play, this defense has a shot at bringing Michigan a title and turning a $10 bet into a $47 profit.

🔮 UFL Week 2 predictions
🧲 Stallions vs. Panthers
- Date: Friday, April 4
- Time: 8 p.m. ET
- Location: Ford Field (Detroit)
- TV: FOX
- Prediction: Stallions -1
With his first start in multiple years under his belt, I'm expecting McGough to look a lot more like the former USFL MVP in his second game. Holtz should have the Stallions back on track with their defense poised to forcer Perkins into too many mistakes for the Panthers' defense to bail him out of against the defending champs.

🛡️ Showboats vs. Defenders
- Date: Saturday, April 5
- Time: 8 p.m. ET
- Location: Audi Field (Washington, D.C.)
- TV: ABC/ESPN+
- Prediction: Defenders -7.5
This is a big spread for a team that looked like it could be in a shaky spot after Barlow left just before the season. However, the Defenders were impressive in Harris' first game as interim and Ta'amu looked like he might make the leap to being one of the league's three best QBs. Meanwhile, Memphis has one of the worst QB situations in the UFL with Troy Williams and E.J. Perry splitting snaps.

🤠 Roughnecks vs. Renegades
- Date: Sunday, April 6
- Time: Noon ET
- Location: Choctaw Stadium (Arlington, Texas)
- TV: ESPN/ESPN+
- Prediction: Renegades -10
Arlington looks set to be among the best teams in the UFL this season with Perez under center. Their Week 1 win over the Brahmas, who had the third-shortest UFL championship odds, was an announcement that Stoops has this team ready to go. Their next victim is a Roughnecks squad that put all its eggs in the Anthony Brown basket just to have him look unplayable in Week 1.

⚔️ Brahmas vs. Battlehawks
- Date: Sunday, April 6
- Time: 6:30 p.m. ET
- Location: The Dome at America's Center (St. Louis)
- TV: FS1
- Prediction: Battlehawks -7
If what we saw in Week 1 from Wilkins is what St. Louis is going to get every week out of its new starting QB, then this is the best team in the UFL. Wilkins' mobility adds an extra wrinkle to an already explosive rushing attack led by Saylors and Jarveon Howard, and the Brahmas aren't going to be able to keep up. New San Antonio QB Kellen Mond didn't impress in Week 1, and the Brahmas clearly lacks a big-play threat.
