We’re backing the Timberwolves to win this game outright on the road. Not only are the Timberwolves’ collective backs against the wall, but they’re currently in the play-in tournament, though while also trending in a much better direction.
Minnesota is sixth in net rating (+7.7) since the All-Star break, with the fourth-best offense by efficiency rating over that span (119.8) propelling the team. Denver is 19th (-0.5), trailing Minnesota both offensively (117.9) and defensively.
Available personnel is a tricky question for this game. But with the Nuggets scheduled to play again tomorrow, a Murray or Gordon rest day is possible. The Timberwolves may be without a role player or two due to impending suspensions as well, but I believe in their starting lineup.
Despite the unresolved personnel questions, I predict the Timberwolves will beat the Nuggets by a final score of Minnesota 116, Denver 112.

It takes a lot for me to lock in an Over for my top NBA player prop, but we’re getting a generous line tied Edwards tonight. Ant Man has been owning the Nuggets this year while averaging 30.7 points and 6.3 assists. That's an average of 37 combined against them over a three-game sample.
An outlier isn't inflating those numbers either. Edwards posted totals of 33, 43, and 35 in those games, the last of which came in Ball Arena like tonight’s contest. Edwards has been excelling at exploiting a Denver defense that ranks 30th in assists allowed per game to small forwards and 29th to shooting guards.
With Denver playing less efficient defense since the All-Star break (118.4) than before it (113.7)–and with another game on the Nuggets' schedule for tomorrow–everything is trending in a positive direction for Edwards. He should be involved in a ton of scoring plays for Minnesota.

It’s been an exceptional season for Braun. Braun entered the starting lineup after the departure of Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and he's averaging a career-best 15.1 points per game this season and 15.6 since the All-Star break.
But Tuesday’s matchup with Minnesota is a tough one for Braun. The Timberwolves rank sixth-best in points allowed per game to shooting guards over the last 15 outings, and Braun spends two-thirds of his minutes playing that position.
Another problem for Braun is the Wolves rank third-best in points allowed off turnovers per game since the break. A small but meaningful 2.9 of Braun’s points per game, or 19%, have come in such situations this year.

It never feels good to fade Jokic, but that’s what we’re doing with the Serbian superstar tonight. It’s a difficult scheduling spot for the Nuggets, who need to play again tomorrow and a third game in four days on Friday. Murray’s questionable status is a concern, too, but I just can’t pass up this number right now.
The Timberwolves have been defending opposing centers quite well this year. They also rank seventh in total assists allowed per game since the All-Star break. Their defense has been holding Jokic to 26.7 points and 9.3 assists (36 combined total) through three games this year. He notched totals of 39, 31, and 38.
I’m listing this as only a three-star play because of the injury speculation required here. Gordon and Murray are both questionable, and it's hard to say where this line will close if they're ruled out. It should end up lower than this number, but I can’t read Michael Malone’s mind when it comes to injury management.
