March Madness has been mild with the four No. 1 seeds reaching the Final Four for just the second time in NCAA Tournament history. While that hasn't appeased many fans, it's sure to create three of the most competitive games imaginable during the final two rounds.

Two of Auburn, Duke, Florida, and Houston will play for a national championship on Monday, April 7, at 8:50 p.m. ET (CBS) from the Alamodome in San Antonio. Our March Madness look-ahead odds and potential matchups for the NCAA Tournament finale break down the betting lines for each hypothetical title game.

The Blue Devils are the March Madness odds favorite, but how are they expected to fare against the Gators or Tigers? The look-ahead NCAA Tournament spreads tell the story of the favorites at our best March Madness betting sites.

πŸ† 2025 March Madness national championship hypothetical matchups and odds

πŸ€ Duke vs. Auburn odds

  • When: Monday, April 7
  • Start: 8:50 p.m. ET
  • How to watch: CBS, Paramount+
  • Location: Alamodome (San Antonio)
  • Spread: Duke -6.5 (-102 via FanDuel)
  • Total: 153.5

It seems as if Auburn and Duke have been on a collision course to meet in the national championship all season long. The committee ensured this was a possibility by putting them on the other side of the bracket. Now, with both teams reaching the penultimate stage, it almost seems inevitable.

The Blue Devils got the better of the Tigers at Cameron Indoor Stadium back in December, 84-78. Our best sports betting sites have used that result as a jumping-off point, listing Duke as a 6.5-point favorite in a hypothetical rematch. However, the -102 odds on the Blue Devils to cover suggest the potential imminent elimination of the half-point hook on the spread.

πŸ€ Houston vs. Auburn odds

  • When: Monday, April 7
  • Start: 8:50 p.m. ET
  • How to watch: CBS, Paramount+
  • Location: Alamodome (San Antonio)
  • Spread: Houston -1.5 (-110 via FanDuel)
  • Total: 138.5

Simply put, if Auburn beats Florida in the Final Four, it will be seeing a familiar foe in the title game. The Tigers met the Cougars back in November in the Mattress Firm Battleground 2K24 from Toyota Center. Auburn overcame airline controversy to beat Houston, 74-69, and announce itself as a championship contender.

The Cougars were 4.5-point betting favorites in that matchup. Despite the Tigers earning the win and being the NCAA Tournament's No. 1 overall seed, our best sports betting apps don't believe they've done enough to be favored in a rematch. Houston is listed as a 1.5-point betting favorite with an Over/Under of 138.5.

πŸ€ Florida vs. Houston odds

  • When: Monday, April 7
  • Start: 8:50 p.m. ET
  • How to watch: CBS, Paramount+
  • Location: Alamodome (San Antonio)
  • Spread: Florida -1.5 (-114 via FanDuel)
  • Total: 142.5

Houston is 1-2 against the SEC this season. The Cougars were beaten by Alabama and Auburn, the latter handed them their only loss in regulation this season. However, Kelvin Sampson's team got on the board against the conference with a 69-50 win over Tennessee in the Elite Eight.

Our best sportsbooks expect Houston to fall to 1-3 against the conference, though, if it meets a high-flying Florida team in the national championship. Oddsmakers list the Gators as 1.5-point betting favorites, despite the total of 142.5 suggesting the game would be played at a relatively slow tempo, where the Cougars are comfortable.

πŸ€ Florida vs. Duke odds

  • When: Monday, April 7
  • Start: 8:50 p.m. ET
  • How to watch: CBS, Paramount+
  • Location: Alamodome (San Antonio)
  • Spread: Duke -4.5 (-120 via FanDuel)
  • Total: 158.5

"Hey Siri, define a track meet." If Duke and Florida meet in the national title game, the country's two most efficient offenses (per KenPom) will put on a July Fourth-like firework show a couple of months early. Oddsmakers have set the total for this game at 158.5, the highest Over/Under of any hypothetical championship contest.

In the end, the slight edge goes to the top-ranked offense of the Blue Devils, who would be 4.5-point betting favorites in a game against the Gators. Audiences would be in for quite the treat between March Madness Most Outstanding Player odds favorites Cooper Flagg and Walter Clayton Jr.
