A month into the Myles Garrett sweepstakes, the Philadelphia Eagles have jumped to the top of the pile. They are the favorites by the Myles Garrett next team odds, with the Washington Commanders trading as the second favorite.

As sure as the sun will rise in the east, Garrett is an NFL Defensive Player of the Year odds contender each season. The sack specialist is one of the most highly desired assets around the league, adding immeasurable excitement and interest to this market.

In early February, Garrett asked for a trade, and you can see why after his Cleveland Browns endured a woeful 3-14 season. Their pre-season playoff aspirations made the three-win campaign even more intolerable.

It's unsurprising to see 31 teams listed as a potential trade partner for the Browns.

A 29-year-old EDGE rusher one year removed from a DPOY season doesn't come along very often. It's a premier position in the first round of the NFL draft, and acquiring an established Garrett is far more appealing to most teams than trying to gamble with a draft pick - especially those in win-now mode.

The Eagles are the betting favorites, with +220 odds representing an implied win probability of 31.25% and returning a profit of $22 on a winning $10 bet.

Excluding the Eagles and Washington Commanders - whose Super Bowl odds improved after acquiring Deebo Samuel from the San Francisco 49ers - only the Los Angeles Rams and Chicago Bears' odds to land Garrett shortened since the market opened.

While the best live betting sites count nobody out, seven teams have +10000 odds, implying a minuscule 0.99% probability.

🔮 Myles Garrett next team prediction

This early in the offseason - and for a player of Garrett's caliber - cap space is a non-factor. Teams will have plenty of time to make other cuts, renegotiations, and restructures that anyone could trade for Garrett.

The Buffalo Bills (+1200) have garnered early buzz based on previous comments from general manager Brandon Beane as Buffalo perennially tries to overcome the hurdle that is the Kansas City Chiefs in the postseason.

I consider it far more likely that the Browns would choose a trade partner from the NFC. Regardless of their timeline to compete, they'll want to ensure they face Garrett as rarely as possible. That has me interested in the Detroit Lions (+1200), with a winning $10 bet fetching a profit of $120.

Sure, NFL Comeback Player of the Year odds favorite Aidan Hutchinson is the star of the Lions defense. But that defense struggled mightily as soon as he was lost to injury this season. Pairing Garrett with Hutchinson would give Detroit the most feared defensive front in the NFL, and maybe the history of the league.

The Lions' divisional-round exit from the postseason should leave no stone unturned as general manager Brad Holmes will try once again to get this team to the Super Bowl for the first time.

Prediction: Lions (+1200)

💰 Myles Garrett contract details

Garrett, 29, has two years remaining on a five-year extension he signed with the Browns that, at the time, made him the league's highest-paid non-quarterback. He carries a cap hit of $19.7 million for the 2025-26 season and a $20.4 million hit for 2026-27, according to Over The Cap.

Again, the cap and contract don't really matter for a player of his caliber.

⏳ How old is Myles Garrett?

Garrett will be 29 years old entering the 2025 season, and he will turn 30 in late December. He was the first overall pick by the Browns in the 2017 NFL Draft.
