Polar opposites battle tonight at Crypto.com Arena (10 p.m. ET) when the league's best home team, the Los Angeles Kings, host the San Jose Sharks, whose road record is the third worst.

The Kings should be in a foul mood after losing 3-1 on Saturday to the Toronto Maple Leafs, their first home setback in nine games. Meanwhile, the Sharks fared much worse, losing 6-1 on home ice to the New York Rangers.

While featuring three player props, Our Sharks vs. Kings prediction expects Los Angeles to be out for blood.

📊 Sharks vs. Kings pick & odds: Who will win tonight's NHL matchup?

As of 8 a.m. ET, the Kings are the -400 moneyline favorites to beat the Sharks (+310) in tonight's NHL matchup at 10 p.m. ET from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. I predict the Kings will win in a game with six goals or fewer.

🔢 Sharks vs. Kings odds & betting lines

Here are the latest Sharks vs. Kings odds and betting lines from our best live betting sites.

🎯 Sharks vs. Kings score prediction: Kings 4, Sharks 2

It's a challenging game to find value in backing the Kings. There's no value in their moneyline odds (-400). Meanwhile, their 3-way ML odds are marginally better (-275), leading to a profit of $3.64 on a winning $10 bet.

Admittedly, the -148 odds for a win of at least two goals aren't great either. But it's what we have, so let's roll with the hand we're dealt.

The Sharks are a dreadful team, and there's no escaping that. However, they rarely get blown out in consecutive games on the second night of a back-to-back set. With a 2-4-3 record in such situations, the Sharks' lone embarrassment occurred in Winnipeg at the start of the season when the Jets thrashed them 8-3.

Otherwise, the Sharks have more than held their own, losing three by two goals and the other three in overtime or a shootout. While they have a knack for showing up for the second game in 24 hours, the Sharks enter the royal palace of Crypto.com Arena, where the Kings have won seven of the previous eight.

Before falling to the Maple Leafs on Saturday, Jim Hiller's team won seven games consecutively at home, allowing more than one goal twice. The club conceded just two in that pair of exclusions. In addition, the Kings - who are 26-4-4 in their barn - will know how important home-ice advantage is when they face the Edmonton Oilers in the first round, while the Sharks are already booking spring tee times.

I predict the Kings will win 4-2 and cover the -1.5 puckline.

Fiala has run hot and cold lately. After a poor outing against Toronto on Saturday, I'm banking on him returning to the former.

While he tallied only one shot against the Maple Leafs, Fiala fired seven on goal versus the Rangers in the previous home contest. It's been a bit of an alternating theme with Fiala, who mustered just one shot at home against Boston in the preceding game, following a five-shot outpour versus Carolina.

The Sharks allow the second-most shots per game on the road (33.4), and I expect the Kings to pour on relentless pressure from the first puck drop.

📊 Best Kevin Fiala prop bet odds

🏒 Best Kevin Fiala prop pick: Anytime goal ⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: +140 via DraftKings ($10 to win $14)

Fiala has logged 28 goals, the second-most on the team behind Adrian Kempe. While he hasn't been at his sharpshooting best recently, Fiala netted three goals in the previous five games and two in the last three.

It wasn't long ago that he scored seven goals in six games. With the team's power play heating up at home, I expect him to light the lamp against the league's worst defense.

🏒 Best Phillip Danault prop pick: Over 0.5 points ⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: +102 via FanDuel ($10 to win $10.20)

Danault has only registered 38 points in 71 games, scoring at a 0.54 points-per-game clip. While that won't strike fear into the heart of any opponent, Danault has tallied a point in four of his last five games, all of which on home ice.

He's been productive in limited minutes, and I expect that home point streak to continue. FanDuel offers the best price of our best sports betting sites
